Issue Position

The President loves to brag about the record breaking stock market and his tax cuts for billionaires and millionaires, but we have to stop judging the economy by how well the rich people are doing. The failure of conservative, "trickle down" economic policies has resulted in 40 years of wage stagnation and income inequality that have gutted working families who continue to struggle with paychecks that can't keep up with the rising costs of housing, gas, groceries, health care, and higher education, even as our economy is "booming". As your state Senator, I will fight for a minimum living wage, affordable healthcare for all, and a revitalized HOPE scholarship.
